Melaris Sofía Dulce López - Director of Communications
A bilingual graduate with a Master’s degree in ICT and Innovation in Education, Melaris currently works as an English teacher at a university in Barranquilla. As the new Director of Communications for Fundación GRAC and GRAC: Global Rights Action, she brings a strong sense of empathy, community service, and social responsibility to the team.
Melaris is recognized for her humanitarian spirit and commitment to serving others, both people and animals. She often uses her own resources to feed stray animals and assist vulnerable individuals in her community, reflecting the values of compassion and care that GRAC promotes.
As Director of Communications, Melaris will oversee all aspects of the foundation’s communication strategy, working to enhance GRAC’s visibility, share its mission, and connect effectively with beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the foundation’s communications team, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
Develop and implement communication plans to promote GRAC’s goals, achievements, and humanitarian initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local media, and partner organizations.
Support the coordination of community projects to ensure communication efforts align with the needs of the populations served.
Promote awareness campaigns about animal care and community welfare, in line with GRAC’s humanitarian values.
